IMHO, the way I see it, the way I look at it, I should say, I find, in my opinion, that's just me... Explanation: Like Attila, I'm not sure, what is what you need. I think that the usage of 'I mean' in the cited text is correct and expresses the Hungarian 'szerintem'. However, the above alternatives do exist. Let me illustrate my point using a few sentences: IMHO - in my humble opinion is web-speak and the 'humble' is not meant quite literally...IMHO. I should say (and variants thereof) are somewhat out of date and probably wouldn't fit the bill, I'd say. All in all, I find the above text quite all right. One more comment. The word szerintem is generally unneceassary (if I am talking, I voice my opinion, and that's that) both in Hungarian and English. But that's just me... |

Itt egy próba: What sort of movies do I like? Y'now, what I mean! Tear-jerking romance, heart-throb heroes, high dramas, epic disasters, hair-rasing rescues, dragon hordes, Indians, samurai, karate, daring sports, ridin', surfin', - .......(easy of course? what does that mean here?) I mean, if it's good. Got it? So simple. Do you like good movies? The you'll like RTL Klub (Club?) That's what we mean. |

That's what I say Explanation: Az első linken van egy felsorolás, hogy miket hordott össze az ürge a reklámban :) A bal ldalon a menüben a "Csirke. Szerintem." menüpontra kell bökni. A "szerintem" a magyar verzióban fontos elem, slusszpoén, védjegy, azóta szállóigévé vált. Nekem a "That's what I say" ugrott be potenciális megfelelőnek. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 hrs 52 mins (2005-01-20 09:04:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Szerintem :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 hrs 27 mins (2005-01-20 09:39:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- És hogy ne csak a levegőbe beszéljek: Sokszorlövős sohanemtöltős -> Multi-shooting never-loading Kincsvadászós sivatagos -> Treasure-hunting desert-roaming Hegymászós - lezuhanós -> Mountain-climbing valley-falling etc. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 hrs 40 mins (2005-01-20 09:53:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.online.rtlklub.hu/szerintem/flash.html Itt letölthetők a reklámfilmek.
