Mivel a finom ebben az esetben nem sokat mond egy nem magyar anyanyelvűnek, a lényeg felől közelíteném meg a dolgot, a finom főzelék pedig nem más, mint zöldborsó és kockára vágott sárgarépa.
Jó lenne tudni, hogy hagyma van-e benne, bár ezt kétlem, mert nem a zöldségekkel együtt kell belekerülnie az ételbe.

Explanation:
in translations I always refer to főzelék as 'broth' ie. enforced soup, it is as near as we can get as főzelék as such does not exist in English.

In this case vegetable broth. Broth indicates a meat base, but as főzelék has the zsír rántás I think it fits.

disagree  Katalin Horváth McClure: Amanda, "finomfőzelék" is not the same as "finom főzelék". Finomfőzelék is a specific Hungarian dish. Itt egy recept: http://www.mindmegette.hu/finomfozelek.recept Főzelék is not broth. The closest is veg. stew or cream of X, depending on what X is.

Explanation:
I would use "sauce" since "cream" usually refers to something with a milk-product base. It is true that főzelék may be thickened with a "habarás" (flour and sour cream), but more often the thickener is a brown roux.
Although sauce is not usually consumed by itself and usually complements another dish, in Hungary these are eaten as a main meal, and the word "sauce" better describes the consistency of főzelék.
