peer agreement (net): +1estimate Explanation: On the basis of the description I would be inclined to translate it loosely as a 'speculative calculation', but legally, for the sake of tenders and financial products (in the UK at least) this is effectively an 'estimate'. This contrasts with a mortgage 'quotation' - this is a legally binding contract. Quotations are reasonably allowed to change. This is why you always ask workmen/women for a quote in the UK and not an estimate.
