agree  philgoddard: Or share offer.

  -> Grazie Phil. Technically though, to be faithful to the ST, they are speaking of plural shares rather than a collective singular "offer" (as they could have).

shares offered for purchase

Explanation:
In the US, at least, I think the best translation might be "shares offered for purchase", but searching on EDGAR (https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/) I see that there are also many instances of "shares offered for subscription".

Nevertheless, I think that it might be best not to translate it word for word when translating the sentence as a whole. The sentence as a whole might be translated something along the lines of "During the offer period (from May 4, 2020, through May 18, 2020), XXX option rights were exercised, resulting in a total of XXX shares being subscribed at a total price of XXX euro[s]."

neutral  mrrafe: The way the ST is structured, this will necessitate a short-form EN parenthetical for references back, like the ST's (le “Azioni in Offerta”). In legal documents, the parenthetical represents that the initial verbiage will be used the same way throughout.

  -> Exactly. In a legal document, a parenthetical expression along the lines of "the shares offered for purchase (herinafter "the Shares")" would be used the first time the expression occurs.

Shares on Offer

Explanation:
Just change the preposition from in to on offer and avoid the offer/ing/ed shares conundrum.

I seem to recall that on Offer had been used in my Champagne-Socialist Solicitor company-law departmental 'day' for a sales prospectus, but it's just too many decades ago and US Am. terminology tends to merge, subconsciously and inexorably, into the City of Londom jargon.

Example sentence(s):
  • US of A: The Offer Shares means the existing issued Shares (whether in the form of ordinary shares with a par value of US$0.01 each in the capital of the Company or ADSs) but excluding the Sale Shares and any other Shares...
