It is the title of the section below. "Spunti" I am translating as "Towards" (in the sense of "providing cues") as suggested by Paola.

Abbiamo fatto un volo di carattere spirituale che potrebbe essere approfondito attraverso altre ricerche o altre interpretazioni sulle immagini. L’indagine potrebbe continuare.
Sarebbe interessante vedere quali altri progetti iconografici sviluppò don Bosco in vita, come quello di S. Giovanni Evangelista a Torino dove emerge il tema di Maria sotto la croce, e quali altri i suoi figli hanno continuato a sviluppare dopo di lui.
Si potrebbe cercare tra gli ex voto e le immaginette popolari quale amore a Maria sviluppavano i giovani e i devoti all’ombra di don Bosco.
Si potrebbe analizzare come l’immagine si è inculturata in tutti i paesi del mondo dove è arrivata la Famiglia Salesiana, e cercare in Ausiliatrici esotiche i valori tipici dei vari popoli.
Si può indagare sulle immagini più vicine al nostro tempo, prodotte nel nostro secolo, che ha visto un rinnovamento così grande della Chiesa e nell’arte, e scoprire l’attualità di questo titolo e di questa immagine apparentemente tanto ottocenteschi.
I valori fondamentali, però, non cambierebbero. La Madonna di don Bosco si rivelerebbe sempre una Madonna attiva nella Chiesa e viva accanto a noi, che continua ad agire nella storia della Salvezza, Aiuto del Regno di Cristo: una Madonna apostolica per eccellenza, dedita alla felicità degli uomini, nell’oggi e nell’eternità.
«Tempo verrà, in cui ogni buon cristiano insieme alla devozione al SS. Sacramento e al Sacro Cuore di Gesù, farassi un voto di professare una divozione tenerissima a Maria Ausiliatrice» scrive don Bosco ne La nuvoletta del Carmelo, paragonando Maria alla piccola nuvola che il profeta Elia, dal monte Carmelo, vede spuntare all’orizzonte, segno della fine della siccità, segno di vita, segno di benedizione di Dio. Segno di una grande speranza la cui realizzazione è certa e imminente.

I think the multiplicity of the possible ways to the same conclusion has to be stressed here, thus I would not use towards - the ways are convergent rather than alike - there's just one conclusion you can reach, and not many similar conclusions - unless you say something like "multiple paths towards... (the madonna, for ex.)"

Explanation:
I would keep it as simple. "Towards" already implies an idea of movement "along a path". So I think you could just remove "percorso" and simplify the translation using "affinity" alone.

It sounds like this section is offering ideas for future research / interpretations.

I would add the word "spiritual" to avoid having "itinerary" misunderstood.
