Poor you! Explanation: I had the same kind of problem with a text last year, and I got around it with hyphens, so I could use "proper" English words yet still show off how clever (!) the author is. In your case, you could play things this way: "To de-monstrate, de-monstrating, being monstrous". As to the rest... ... which I feel can be distinguished with the general adjective 'monstre', in all its ambiguity. To "de-monstrate", "de-monstrating", being monstrous.
