This is the description of a piece of art that was made by children regarding the concept of Smart City, ecofriendliness, sustainability, etc...

They look like swaths of paint (lines) randomly painted over each other on a piece of wood, basically abstract art.
But I'm not sure what "stesi di getto" would be...

Possible translation:
Inspired by the abstract art of Emilio Vedova, the kids made this huge canvas using bold colors and _____________ to represent a Smart City at night.

I'd say di getto here means painted in a random manner (as you suggested) without much attention to where the strokes are actually placed on the canvas. Di getto usually indicates something which is done without having planned it beforehand
