Good evening everyone,

I would like to ask some advice on how to translate this term. I am dealing with a military service record of a cadet at a military academy.

I have already spoken to a Carabinere friend who told me that this acronym stands for: Tenente Colonnello commissariato

My dilemma is this: given that a direct equivalent of this corps does not exist in English, how would we go about translating it?

My try: Commissioned Lieutenant Colonel?

Any advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated! TIA

Asker: Hi Phil, "commissariato" (2 "s") in this context has nothing to do with Police/Carabinieri stations, it regards "Administrative services". It is a particular category of work in the armed forces. Nice try though!
