annual examination

Explanation:
To be honest, "esame triennale" doesn't convince me. According to the dictionary, "triennial" means "occurring every three years", or "lasting three years".
A degree can be triennial, but I don't see how an exam can be.

When I did my nursing degree, we had an English exam every year for three years, and I wonder if that is what they mean here. In which case, "annual examination" might be appropriate.
