Italian term or phrase: decoro direzionale/non-direzionale/semi-direzionale
This features in a product description about flooring. The flooring seems to come in strips, planks, tiles and rolls (I haven't yet settled on my terminology choices for those yet).

My best guess is that it refers to the pattern, i.e. non-direzionale means you do not need to match them up when laying them down, direzionale would be a repeat pattern... in which case semi-direzionale might be an offset pattern or only needs to be lined up on two out of four sides.

It's just the same idea in English. If you look at the pictures in my references, you'll see what it means. Directional flooring leads your eye in a particular direction, non-directional doesn't (it's also referred to as "homogeneous" in my first reference), and semi-directional has a slight, but not obvious pattern.
