In an airline cancellation policy, describing the deaths that are covered for reimbursement of a ticket:

nipoti di terzo grado

No other "nipoti" are listed. Is this nieces/nephews, or grandchildren?

great great grandchildren

Explanation:
As a genealogist I am absolutely sure. Italian law allows legal rights to go down to the third generation, but no further. It only works on the direct line.
If it was great-granchildren it would have said "pronipoti".

The word "removed" is used only in non-direct (side) lines which are not covered in this particular case.
