temporary layoffs under the CIGS scheme (Italian state benefits scheme for workers laid of temp.. Explanation: "temporary layoffs under the CIGS scheme (Italian state benefits scheme for workers laid of temporarily)". These schemes do not exist in the UK or in the US so either you explain or leave the reader in the dark. A more literal translation can be misleading because a worker is suspended for doing something wrong, but a worker is laid off because there is no work to be done. |
