Italian term or phrase: passaggi del banner
A company has donated some resources to a charity:

Il XXX ha messo a disposizione una pagina all'interno del sito e 1.000.000 di passaggi del banner pubblicitario dedicato.

XXX has donated a web page and 1 million....?

hits - maybe?

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thank you!

banner clickthroughs
Explanation:
OK, this is just an idea. It sounds like they may have donated some clickthroughs on a banner.

Banners are a form of advertising after all, so I guess company X is offering to put charity Y's banner on company X's site and allow 1,000,000 clicks through to the charity site...?

From wikipedia - hope I'm on the right lines here:
"Many banner ads work on a click-through payback system. When the advertiser scans their logfiles and detects that a web user has visited the advertiser's site from the content site by clicking on the banner ad, the advertiser sends the content provider some small amount of money (usually around five to ten US cents). This payback system is often how the content provider is able to pay for the Internet access to supply the content in the first place."

Sorry, Lizzy - I'm afraid I can't be sure. It may help, though. I guess it could just be "banner impressions", similar to Umberto's suggestion.

Thanks for all answers but I'm going for this one - thanks, Amy! I think that 'click-throughs' is most logical here because they can be easily quantified (i.e. 1 million) whereas I don't think you could quanitify an 'appearance' or 'impression' (although I'm no techie!)

neutral  Romanian Translator (X): whilst I agree with your banner impression part of the answer, the main translation you offered and the entire answer seem to suggest/back up is "banner clickthroughs" - you leave room for ambiguity there Amy.
