This term comes in a document about an application to manage a system offering top-up kilometres on a car hire contract. It appears twice:

"Le modalità di comunicazione tra [solution name] e i sistemi esterni (protocolli e *** mimiche ***) sono definite distintamente riutilizzando i flussi batch esistenti."

"Gestione della *** mimica *** di integrazione (ad esempio, sincrona/asincrona, accodamento); massiva)" - which is a benefit of an adaptive integration framework.

'Emulator' has been suggested but I don't know whether this is correct in this context.
