I have run into some Emilian dialectal expressions talking about a dairy farm that I don't know. (cuntadè, azdora, Nunì) which I am assuming are brother, mother and father but I am just guessing.

agree  Tom in London: "contadino". I lived in Bologna for 2 years and could never understand the local dialect at all, apart from a few of the obscenities with which they liberally sprinkle their conversation, even in polite settings....
