What is the meaning of "interessante a" in the above context? Does it just mean "of"?

I would just stay close to the Italian, which says affecting/involving. I assume it's the appearance of the tumor. And you could say lardaceous.

Asker: Hi Phil, Thanks, but I cannot really say "[...]a fatty area affecting the rib"...wouldn't it be better to simply say ...a fatty area in the rib? Or am I missing something? Your input is very much appreciated!!
