What else do we know about the patient? You say it's metastatic prostate cancer, so he has known metastases to where? Bone, lung? Has he been treated? And is he now being staged or re-staged for other distant sites?
I'm concerned that perhaps our interpretations are not taking into account the possible "metastatic" connotation of "preferenziale" (as in sequelae of previous treatment for lung metastasis, eg ablation therapy). And this would also accommodate Penny's comment! But I may well be reading too much into these three words.

Bones
Lymph nodes
Lungs
Liver
Brain

I would suggest something along the lines of 'probably/probable sequalae' referring back to an earlier incident/event - this would fit in with both Joseph and Judy's comments.

I would think that given the implication of "preference" this could mean "most likely" or "probably"

"in esiti" not followed by "di"+ procedure or disease only seems to mean that the finding is a result of a previous (unspecified) disease condition.

I'm not sure about "preferenziali" in this context. Possibly "mostly", but just guessing.

As Joseph pointed out, "preferenziale" implies a strong tendency/probability as seen in expressions like "siti preferenziali di metastasi", also used in English as in "Preferential metastasis to the bone marrow occurs for many tumor types"
