My client writes: "in musica è normalmente indicato come registro d'organo, ma nell'opera in musica così veniva definita una voce di soprano che cantava quasi "fuori scena" o posizionata in alto così che la voce scendesse effettivamente come un suono celeste; nel nostro caso non ho potuto posizionare la soprano in locazioni strane nel Santuario per il problema della registrazione, ma la parte è stata pensata così in vari punti del Requiem. Potrebbe essere tradotta con Celestial Voice? Il registro d'organo verrebbe tradotto o rimarrebbe con il proprio nome? E' una qualifica per la voce di Soprano utilizzata in un certo modo.."

The organ stop is definitely known as 'voix céleste'. I haven't come across it used to refer to a signer before, but I found this at the page linked below: "At the close, up on high in more senses than one, Sarah Tynan’s Voix céleste summoned the soul of Marguerite to heaven in tones both alluring and pure."

agree  philgoddard: Or celestial. I don't see any reason to say it in French - I did this at Covent Garden when I was a kid, and we were called the heavenly choir.
