Degree in Agriculture/Forestry Explanation: Unless the person has obtained a Ph.D, in the US one does not use the title of Doctor for non-medicine related degrees, and instead one either refers generically to a university degree, or one lists the best equivalent, which is often a B.A. or B.S. (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science). If you provide us with any more available context, we can specify any answers better. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 33 mins (2009-10-26 16:43:26 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I would in that case amend my answer to say Certified and Degreed Agronomist/Agriculturalist and Forester, but you could use your formulation too. Others may have better suggestions. |

Doctor of Agronomy / Forestry Explanation: not really sure why not - whether it's how it would be termed in the US or UK is beside the point, isn't it, if the degree/award is awarded in Italy? Depends on the exact context though - is it in a letter heading or anything? You can get a doctorate in forestry in the UK, and apparently in the US too: John F. O’Keefe is the coordinator of the Fisher Museum of Harvard Forest, which is devoted to the history, management, and ecology of central New England forests. Dr. O’Keefe develops exhibits and programs to explain current forest research to academic and general audiences. Dr. O’Keefe received his doctorate in Forestry from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a board member of the Massachusetts Forestry Association, the Mount Grace Land Trust, and the Millers River Watershed Council. His publications include "An ecological history of Massachusetts forests" in Stepping Back to Look Forward-a History of the Massachusetts Forest, and "New England Forests Through Time-Insights from the Harvard Forest Dioramas." http://nature.sbc.edu/forestconference/forestbios.html http://www.tuscany-cooking-class.com/italian-wine-tasting-co... http://www.sagea.com/eng/personale.html |
