Italian term or phrase: trincee
Hello I have a paper discussing a drilling campaign and I come across the terms "sondaggi" and "trincee".
Sondaggi in context are surveys and boreholes, so in that case would "trincee" be "trenches"?

TIA !

SYA 23 - Ubicato tra i sondaggi SYA 1 e SYA 2, ha incontrato la mineralizzazione ad una profondità di 130 mt rispetto alla superficie, anche se di potenza ridotta rispetto a quella rilevata nelle trincee immediatamente soprastante (T 15);

Notes to answerer
Asker: Hi Cedric, seems obvious to me too, but I am not a master in onshore drilling and thought that it was best to get a second opinion :)
