torque Explanation: This has to do with mining so I would use torque instead of power. thickness Explanation: Following the tip from Vincent Lemma (see Discussion) Spanish "potencia" = thickness / power / strength (of a vein) https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1991/0579/report.pdf "power" doesn't seem to be appropriate to the present context. "strength (of a vein)" could be appropriate jargon, but could be (mis)understood as literally how much force/pressure can be withstood, which doesn't seem relevant here. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S001379521... Thus only "thickness" remains, and it can be measured in metres, so it seems to fit the context. ~~~~~ Nothing useful here: https://www.angloamerican.com/futuresmart/our-industry/minin... http://www.rocksandminerals.com/glossary.htm#S ~~~~~ More refined terms also exist, such as "true width" ... https://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/true width ... but are probably not justified unless specified in the source text. |
