Si chiamano così i vasti bacini lagunari recintati in diversi modi o interamente chiusi da argini, chiaviche a saracinesca, graticci o argini artificiali. All’interno di questi recinti si allevava il pesce e lo si divideva per annate fino al momento adatto alla sua raccolta.
