Già al tempo dei fatti, infatti, l’istituto aveva stilato ed adottato protocolli clinici e linee guida per l’esercizio di una corretta pratica medica, atte in pratica a codificare le leges artis tipiche del settore; cioè vere e proprie raccomandazioni di comportamento elaborate mediante un processo di revisione sistematica della letteratura e delle opinioni scientifiche, al fine di adottare le modalità assistenziali più appropriate alle specifiche situazioni cliniche.
