Ciao a tutti!
Sto traducendo un testo su una regata velica, si parla dei vari vincitori nelle diverse edizioni della regata. Viene ripetutamente usata l'espressione "al timone" per indicare il vincitore. Ad esempio:

-"l'edizione del 1988 è vinta da xx, con al timone Mario Rossi"
-"Il vincitore è mario Rossi al timone del suo xx"

In altri casi non viene specificato:
-"lo scafo xx vince con Mario Rossi nel 1993"

Mi chiedevo se "Skipper" fosse la traduzione giusta in questo caso, anche se ho trovato anche "Steuermann", o se esistano altri modi di rendere le frasi.
