In chimica, la titolazione è una tecnica dell'analisi quantitativa.

SOLUZIONI DI ACQUA OSSIGENATA: TITOLO IN VOLUMI.
La concentrazione dell'acqua ossigenata viene espressa solitamente in "volumi": ad esempio le soluzioni diluite usate come disinfettante portano la dicitura "10 volumi" oppure "12 volumi"; esistono in commercio anche soluzioni molto più concentrate, ad esempio a 130 volumi.
La concentrazione o titolo in volumi di una soluzione di acqua ossigenata corrisponde al volume di ossigeno gassoso, misurato nelle condizioni normali (t = 0 °C, P = 1 atm), che si sviluppa per decomposizione completa dell'acqua ossigenata contenuta in 1 litro di soluzione. Se, ad esempio, una soluzione di acqua ossigenata ha un titolo pari a 10 volumi questo significa che dalla decomposizione completa dell'acqua ossigenata contenuta in 1 litro di soluzione derivano 10 litri di ossigeno gassoso, volume di gas misurato a t = 0 °C e P = 1 atm.
