Mamuro Explanation: This word is read "Mamuro", a name of a place in Hyogo, Japan. There is no such word in Japanese that 間室 is used as noun or verb. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2010-12-22 12:32:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If there is a number written with the word 間室, it would simply mean the number of rooms, but the word itself is not in the dic. I need the whole sentence to be sure though. |

anteroom/front room Explanation: (I'm assuming you can tell from the context that this word refers to a room, because I agree that it can also be a name.) You might also say "entrance hall/corridor," "spare room," or "workroom," depending on the room's placement within the house. I'm on my mobile, so I can't easily post references now, but I will when I get to my computer. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs (2010-12-23 05:38:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.life.osaka-cu.ac.jp/publications/magazine/pdf/200... "間室" appears several times in this PDF, but I think page 5 is most helpful. ---- https://www.fujisan.co.jp/zasshi-kensaku.asp?sid=211558&q=[... ”9. ...洗面室予備室間室クロゼット寝室納戸水屋和室広縁式台K取次の間D土間テラスL玄関ポーチ,{C1C2E4E3-C67F-44C9-A8D1-E1C658BE1209}114,November 2008...” ---- http://www.websaru.info/予備室.html http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/予備室 予備室=spare room I added this last reference just to give context to the catalog entry. |
