Japanese term or phrase: ベロニーテ型火山
I'm doing a translation of a travel website about Lake Toya in Hokkaido, and there's a section on Showashinzan, which is a mountain that was created by volcanic activity. The paragraph in which the term appears is below.

I have searched Wikipedia, Google and other resources and haven't found a good translation. Google Translate gave me "beronite" but the phrase "beronite volcano" doesn't show any results in a Google search, so I don't think that term exists. As of now I'm just leaving out ベロニーテ型 and have inserted a comment for the agency saying that I couldn't find the term, but if anyone can help by Wednesday the 18th, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

-> Hi Kathy, thank you. 日本では学術用語に外国語が残っていたりすることもありますね。世界の潮流としては少し古くなった後も。
