Full sentence, from a hedge fund website trying to convince potential clients on the benefits of asset management:

The use of 抜けた here is what's confusing me.

Explanation:
I think 「頭一つ抜ぬけた」somewhat got modified to「1つ2つと抜けた」. http://thesaurus.weblio.jp/content/頭一つ抜ける
