Japanese term or phrase: リソース転換
Hi,

I am translating a text concerning the streamlining of operations, personnel cuts and efficiency improvements within a group of companies.
リソース転換 comes up in a few different contexts (e.g. xxxx業務のリソース転換). One sentence states that efficiency measures will result in 業務時間削減xxxxx時間、リソース転換xxxxx時間程度の効率化.
Another sentence reads: 定型的業務の派遣・パートへのリソース転換.
Also, the term 転換 is used in 配置転換, to mean the transfer of personnel among different companies/departments.
I'm not getting too many hits from Google searches, and am at a loss on how to translate this ("resource conversion"??).
Any help would be appreciated (I am working on a tight deadline). Thank you in advance.

reassignment of resources

Explanation:
Whether it's people or things, "shifting them around" can be expressed as "reassignment of resources."

By the way, there is no reason this always has to be a noun phrase. You can also make it more natural in some contexts by switching to a verb construction. For example,

The company also expects to reassign resources such as by transferring personnel, moving inventory ....

This leads to better English in some contexts.

Asker: Thank you! You're right about noun phrases, I have noticed that carrying nouns straight from the original Japanese text often results in some rather awkward English.

Sounds softer than transfer. What is lost here is gained there...
