機縁法 知人，友人，同僚など調査協力してくれそうな人々を標本とする．紹介をつなぐ方法を「スノーボール法」といいます．
応募法 愛読者カードなど募集に応じたモニターをサンプルとする方法．
インターセプト法 街路，ショッピングセンターなどで調査を依頼する方法．
出口調査 選挙の投票所などの出口での調査依頼する方法．

Snowball sampling　が機縁法なのか、機縁法の一部なのかが、ちょっと確認できないんですが。

さて、yuzourenさんの答にMichikoさんが加えたコメントで始めて出てきた英文を使うことにしましたので、どちらに軍杯を挙げても悪いようですが、結局こちらに挙げることにしました。
