Latin term or phrase: Je Amore
I saw this in a conversation between two characters in a book i was reading. I do not know latin, but i know those words are in latin. This may be important to the story and id liek to knwo what it means.
Allen Hart
English translation:not latin?
Explanation:
I would think that 'je' is the french personal pronoun for 'I', and 'amore' is the Italian word for 'love' - the phrase being something like an attempt to recreate either of those languages, with a comical effect in mind - meaning something like 'I love' in a pseudo-presumptuous manner. Would that fit with the context of the book you are reading or the dialogue in particular?
Otherwise, 'amore' could be the ablative of the latin noun 'amor'='love', but 'je' would still not fit and the sentence would still not make proper sense.
