The Law and its jurisdiction Explanation: As per the Oxford Companion to Law, Forum is defined as: [Roman law] several open places in ancient Rome, of which the most important, the Forum Romanum, was the location of, inter alia, the law courts. Hence the term is used of the court or area of jurisdiction appropriate for particular purposes. As per Osborn's Concise Law Dictionary, the term Jus is defined as: [Roman law] - In its widest sense includes a moral as well as legal obligations.
