access line Explanation: I have always disliked inlet to translate ivadinis. Looking at the question today, it finally struck me that in the US we would probably call that an access line, which yields 51000 hits on Google. |

inlet (outlet) mains (networks) Explanation: inlet - outlet - tikrai, tinklas - priklauso nuo konteksto: mains arba networks; siuo atveju gal geriau - mains - el. maitinimo tinklas (alkonas), arba gal netgi - system tiktu -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 29 mins (2009-06-02 13:28:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- šiam kontekste manau reikia versti taip: inlet, land plot power supply systems -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs (2009-06-02 20:32:37 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Though common in colloquial American English, access line may be easily confused with PC and telephone lines... The electrical engineering term though is inlet/outlet network/mains/system |
