The TM provided for this job has "offentlige tillatelser" as "statutory licenses" (sic). I'm not confused by the meaning. What I really want to know is whether a U.K.-based writer of a commercial lease would actually use "statutory licence" when referring to a sign permit. So far I've only found examples of that coming from the Emerald Isle, not the Sceptred Isle. The spelling of "licenses" makes me suspect a Yank has been busy here with a dictionary who is unfamiliar with commercial leases. Nobody on this side of the Pond would ever use "statutory license" for this otherwise.

Please limit your response to the context of a sign.

The term "offentlige" is included within the term permit, as the permit would be from a public (offentlige) authority.
