Seafood meets agriculture - the blue-green revolution

The blue-green alliance is so new that as yet only the initiated are talking about it.

From government quarters in Norway, they are now attempting for example to coordinate research efforts so that the fisheries institutes are beginning to collaborate with the agricultural institutes.

Alliances

Some Greens find more effective alliances with spirit groups, or with more conservative groups (Blue-Green Alliance)

Though in the US the blue seems to have more to do with blue-collar workers (Spanish republicans ?!)

blå-grønn matalliansen
Blue-Green Food Alliance; Surf and Turf Alliance

Explanation:
"Den blå-grønne matalliansen" appears to be an industrial and research alliance rather than a political one, although it looks as if the initiative to it was political, though not first and foremost party-political.

It seems that "blå-grønn" may just as easily refer to the colours associated with the elements involved as to political colours, although it is probably a play on words.

Minister of Fisheries Ludvigsen belongs to Høyre (Conservative Party) while Minister of Agriculture Sponheim is a Venstre man (Liberal). The latter party is traditionally more closely associated with the "green" bandwagon.
