Having looked at the "Nytte" tab finally, I think "lifestyle portal" might do. See http://tinyurl.com/622xeo4 for reference to using such a device to "agglomerate a critical mass of varied content" and the example of a newspaper's "Lifestyle" portal at http://tinyurl.com/5v56z6d.

Asker: Gosh, that Lifestyle portal really does pack it all in, doesn't it! This may be a good contender, Charles, thanks.

news portal

Explanation:
Amazing breadth of assignments there, Brigid. Nytteportalen would be as opposed to the non-useful portal, which assumes they have a fun&games portal or the like. As it is a news organisation, methinks a reference to their mainstay occupation would be not altogether out of place.

"The information portal" should be both broad and narrow enough to cover what you are looking for.
