pasientgrunnlag

English translation: patient base

Norwegian term or phrase: pasientgrunnlag
From an agreement between an independent orthodontist and a dental clinic. It has to do with access to the clinic's patient index. (Note that "pasientkartotek" is used separately here.) I'm most interested in a British English term if such is available, but I'll consider all offers.

Back when I had access to professional services agreements at various hospitals, I could have found this pretty quickly. But I distrust slightly my instinct to use "patient population" (a common term among hospitals) for a dental practice?

Explanation:
I think they are referring to the available (and future) patients that make up the clinics list of patients (pasientliste)?

Explanation:
This is my interpretation of pasientgrunnlag.

Asker: I think this would be technically correct in another context, given the role of providers in Norway's public health scheme. But I have some difficulty using the term in a contract, and I'll be using "patient base" instead.
