This occurs in a medical report, which talks of "depressive og utagerende episoder". Grateful for any help with this.

Explanation:
A lot could be said about this term, which climbed rapidly to notoriety when applied to the earlier lifestyle of Crown Princess ans single Mom, Mette-Marit, before her marriage to Haakon Magnus. At the time, it was understood as an admission to a multitude of unspecified but not-so-serious sins - wild and youthful, in-your-face things, like light substance abuse and generous sexual conduct. All very normal, but not the kind of stuff royalty should be associated with. She wasn'royalty at the time, though, and had no such designs; else, the behaviour would have "Republic" all over it.
In current psychobabble, "utagerende" probably means just excessively extrovert, unrestrained behaviour, where the subject is aware aware that said behaviour could cause disapproval, and then applies it precisely for that purpose. Like a 'tick' that could have been suppressed, but instead is amplified.

Explanation:
I do not quite agree with Per here. Extrovert does not exactly make me think of a depressed patient. Such a paient, when acting out (the same expression) would more likely be threatening, violent, crying, screaming or whatever...
But surely not extrovert?
