(potential equalising) jumper Explanation: Following a quick conversation with an electrical engineer sitting beside me who has been working in light rail for the past number of years, we are fairly confident in the above. A dropper simply carries current between the messenger wire and contact wire, but jumpers either side of an isolator would allow for disconnections etc. The potential equalising portion would remove any ambiguity if you're concerned about that. |
