Norwegian term or phrase: styrbua
Have come across this in a description of roles on board a trawler:

"De sitter riktignok i styrbua, men i likhet med Steinar, Tom og Bjørn er de simpelthen fiskere."

Is it something like "bridge"?

Thanks in advance!

agree  Leif Henriksen: "Styrbua" is a dialectical form of the more proper '"styrehuset". However, on a modern trawler, I would consider using "bridge" instead.

agree  Michael Ellis: I would say 'wheelhouse' fits the informal, dialect register of 'styrbua' better than 'bridge'.
