Odnośnik do puszek, ale kable też prowadzi się pod tynkiem - albo w rurkach plastikowych, albo (to raczej kiedyś) w wykutym rowku, który potem był zapełniany tynkiem.
Chyba...

Reference: three main types of wiring systems

Reference information:
Depending on how the cables are routed, there are three main types of wiring systems:

- concealed wiring, in which cables are laid in pipes, the so-called cable ducts, placed in wall chases that are 2.0 - 2.5 cm in depth,

- flush-mounted wiring, in which cables - usually double insulated multicore flat ones - are laid directly under the plaster and mounted directly to the wall,

- surface-mounted wiring, in which cable are laid on the wall surface, for example in skirting boards.
