Himmeli

That himmeli are still made in Finland (and similar mobiles known as pajaki in Poland) is testament to the remnants of old agrarian traditions that have become incorporated into the more modern celebration of Christmas that has largely superseded older harvest/midwinter festivals.

Himmeli
No matter what you may call them: himmeli, sodas, oror, pajaki, puzurs , pavaks, pajak, spiders, universe or sky, straw crown (in Swedish-speaking Finland) or anxiety (in Sweden) all these names translate to these amazing straw geometric mobiles. Traditionally in the countries they are found, Belarus, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Russia and others, this furnishing brings unexpected beauty and movement in a room.

Reference: pająk / kierec - protective decorations

Reference information:
One of many traditional elements of interior decoration in the Polish villages of the past was an elaborate geometric ornament hanging down from the ceiling. It is called ‘pająk‘ (plural form: ‘pająki‘) and a literal translation of the name is a ‘spider‘. In some places of Poland it was also called a ‘kierec’ (name native to region of Kurpie in northeastern Poland), or – jokingly – a ‘żyrandol’ (chandelier). In the 19th century when ethnography as a systematic study arrived into the Polish lands and the Polish rural customs were first described in precise details, the presence of pająki was documented in all ethnically Polish lands. - https://lamusdworski.wordpress.com/2016/10/23/pajaki/

The literal translation of Pajaki is “spiders of straw” and these paper chandeliers were part of the elaborate Christmas celebration of Polish peasants - https://www.designsponge.com/2011/07/past-present-pajaki-cha...
