lightens/relieves/eases the load on the banking system
Explanation:
I think this is about the banking system as a whole.

For a single bank (see Maciek Drobka's comment), one can also have
"eases the demand upon the bank's system"
"relieves (the) pressure upon the bank's system"
"relieves the/a burden upon the bank's system".

Per JacaZwawa, without the Saxon genitive, we would have:
relieves pressure on the (computer) system of the bank

"System" is so indefinite that it begs for a descriptive adjective.

agree  Maciek Drobka: Seconded. However, relieving/easing the load on a bank's system(s) (rather than the banking system as a whole) also seems a possible option IMO.

-> Thanks for alerting me to this possibility, Maciek. I guess I was thinking globally, as the banks are now interdependent. However, the introductory sentence does point to a particular bank, so you definitely have a point here. Powodzenia w Nowym Roku.

agree  George BuLah (X): "relieves" was my first choice as well, but cannot agree with a "bank's"; a "the bank system" instead, with no Saxon genitive? Otherwise, I'm wrong

-> Thanks, JacaZwawa. I am learning from you. I do not like the Saxon genitive in such situations either unless it is this one particular bank. But we can handle it differently (see my addition).
