Rozmowa kierowana
Badający zadaje dziecku wcześniej przygotowane pytania, dotyczące jego imienia i nazwiska, wieku, miejsca zamieszkania, zawodu rodziców.
Dzięki rozmowie obserwujemy u dziecka sposób wypowiadania myśli, zasób słownictwa i ewentualną wadę wymowy.

Structured Interview
This is also known as a formal interview (like a job interview).
The questions are asked in a set / standardized order and the interviewer will not deviate from the interview schedule or probe beyond the answers received (so they are not flexible).

These are based on structured, closed-ended questions.

Explanation:

Directed Discussion Method
The teacher creates a structuring device or main question for the lesson topic.
The teacher plans boundary maintainance by creating a series of steps the students must understand before moving on to another.
The teacher, through questioning of the students, makes sure each step is understood before moving on.
The teacher controls the flow and the direction of the lesson by establishing and maintaining teacher-student interaction, and by carefully avoiding values on anyone's part.
For the conclusion, the teacher re-asks the main question and lets students respond. A summary and reiteration of the lesson's importance finishes the discussion.
Simple Example
Teacher presents the structuring question: What are some advantages of knowing how to read?
The teacher guides the students through four steps or points of information: a) reading helps you speak intellectually; b) reading helps you learn about others; c) reading helps you find out about potential problems which might affect you; d) reading helps you share yourself for therapeutic benefits.
The teacher gets students responses to the main question. A summary is conducted by students, guided and aided by the teacher, and the discussion concludes with a statement of why each student must know and understand the importance of learning to read.
