Portuguese term or phrase: Quentura de la.. (?)
Metáfora da luz. Domínio do olhar. O binómio dentro-fora preside uma compreensão-imaginação clássica do mundo e está na base de todo desejo. De intimidade, de quentura, das planícies onduladas e infinitas do teu seio. Mãe. De um espaço positivo. **Quentura de la..(?)** pode-se discutir gostosamente, a moda é um discurso coerente, a casa é a mesma metonímia-metáfora.

I am translating this as it is written, almost as a stream of consciousness. However, I am not sure how best to deal with this apparently incomplete phrase. I am not sure what 'la' refers to or suggests here and thus how I can achieve a similar effect in my translation.

all suggestions welcomed!

English translation:Warmth of... (?)
Explanation:
Since we can't be sure of what 'la' is refering to (dela-la-lar-lã ... it can also be the beggining of another word), I think this is a very good option.
In addition, if the quotiation mark "(?)" is present in the original it should remain in the translation... I think the idea is to let the reader try to guess ... (the same as we did!).

Notes to answerer
Asker: Interesting, that seems to make sense. Would be glad to hear if other native speakers immediately think of this.

Asker: thanks for this suggestion, Marlene - it seems a very likely one. I went for a more ambiguous translation as it seemed doubt remained in the original so I thought it best to convey that in English.

Is the author Brazilian? In this case I'd say (s)he has inserted a Spanish expression into his/her text.
