Portuguese term or phrase: Caminhões de rabo-quente
Dear Colleagues:

I ran across this term in an e-mail, where a business owner is complaining about manufacturing and shipping problems. One item mentioned is "caminhões de rabo-quente." The source document is from Brazil. Could someone give me a US English equivalent? No other context is available. The only match I am finding for "rabo-quente" is a portable heater coil for heating drinks that can be plugged into a truck or car's electrical outlet. That does not apply in this case.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Rear Engine trucks

Explanation:

I found a car that was called that way because of the position of its engine: it was located at the back, not at the front:

Aqui, onde chegou nos anos 50, recebeu uma alcunha mais irreverente. “Rabo Quente” faz alusão ao motor na traseira, até então inédito no País.

Could it be the case here too?

neutral  Paulo Eduardo - Pro Knowledge: This is not a truck it is a dauphine or a gordini, from renault cars. I can say so, because I had both, before having my opalas 4100 tucho mecânico e mavericks 302V8... Have you ever seen a rear engine truck?

-> Yes, I read that. But the car got its name because the engine was in the back. Maybe trucks with rear engines could also be called "rabo quente" by some, since their back part would be "hotter" // Yes: https://goo.gl/VniGkH
