Oi Rafael, o problema é que não tem uma nomeação da coisa que não contém metal pesado, que o it retomaria, entende? Além disso, a frase continua: isenção de metais pesados, solventes y, etc e tal.
e qual a sua objeção com heavy metal free? Poderia mudar a estrutura sintática para algo mais comum no inglês e usar heavy metal free. Pelo menos é o que eu faria.
XXX require it is heavy metal free, ou is free of heavy metals.
Pensei que você não queria utilizar especificamente o termo "free". De qualquer modo, agradeço que nos dê o contexto em que a expressão ocorre. Obrigada.
