Portuguese term or phrase: está na mira duma caça fortunas
Ao descobrir todo o passado do pai, escolhe ficar do lado do avô e contra as tradições, optando assim pelo amor – um amor nada fácil, já que XXXXX tudo fará para a impedir de ser feliz com YYYYY, que também **está na mira duma caça fortunas.**

I'm uncertain about the meaning of this in European Portuguese, and am afraid of putting the opposite meaning by mistake! Anyone?

Notes to answerer
Asker: This is what I thought it was, but was thrown off by the Porto dictionary's definition of "estar na mira de" which was "is about to happen" ???

Asker: Yes, Lumen, this is why i was confused...the job is from Portugal, so I wanted to be sure that I got the right meaning, but the definition in the European Portuguese dictionary made absolutely no sense.
