Portuguese term or phrase: barcos a velas pandas
I am translating the text describing scenes depited on the ashlar tiles othe University of Evora in Portugal. The term is a description of one of the images, but I am unable to find the term reference. I know that barcos a vela are sailboats, pero velas pandas I am unfamiliar with.

Muito obrigada!
