Portuguese term or phrase: devido aos serviços de conexão
Hi everyone! I'm translating a report on decentralised cooperation between pairs of Brazilian and Mozambican cities. Does anyone know what serviços de conexão would be in this context? Thanks for your help!

Explanation:
I was taught to avoid 'due to' unless it has an immediate specific antecedent (e.g., 'the loss was due to a glitch in the trader's computer').

neutral  Muriel Vasconcellos: 'Due to' is missing a specific antecedent. The antecedent is the whole clause "as cidades tornam-se mais atraentes" and 'due to' should not be used to refer to an entire clause. It's substandard speech.

neutral  Mario Freitas: I was taught to avoid "thanks to" as it is very informal, unless you are translating a conversation or something like that.
